Hi, I'm
Avery
You will find repeated symbols in my work, flowers, female figures, and fawns. Here is what they mean to me:

Flowers carry emotional weight. Whether it be a gift for an anniversary, condolences for a tragedy, a celebration of a mile stone. There is a universal understanding that flowers address what is left unsaid.
The nude female figures in my work are in a state of pure existence, unaware and untouched by the male gaze. How would it feel to live outside the shadow of men's wandering eye, we will never know.
Fawns are a metaphor to womanhood. Much like girls, fawns grow up to be suddenly hunted by men. I see the same eyes in the look of a hunter every time I am at the grocery store, walking into the gym, doing my job, ordering a coffee, unlocking my car.
